Launch Event | Glitter Kittens by William Joyce

Author-illustrator extraordinaire WILLIAM JOYCE is paying us a visit for the launch of his spectacularly sparkly new picture book: ! Known for his work on incredible books such as A Day With Wilbur Robinson and The Fantastic Flying Books of Mr. Morris Lessmore, as well as his work in animation, his stories are full of fun and heart -- and the same is true of his latest tale.

Flash, Flare, Twinkle, and Sparkle Tangerine are the most glimmery, glitzy, fabulous kittens ever, and they love nothing more than talking about their favorite thing: themselves. Their best best friends get fed up with the bragging and come up with a plan: a game of hide-and-seek where the sparkly felines hide and everyone else counts to one million and three. Then, as the kittens hide in a cave, the shimmer-free friends "forget" to count.

But THEN, a Glitter-Eating Monster spies the kittens’ glitter trail and starts to follow it, ready for a snack. Do the best best friends intervene? Do the kittens dare to step out of the spotlight?
